B D Tripathi: UGC Emeritus Professor and Chairman, Malaviya Research Centre for Ganga, River Development and Water Resource Management, Founder Coordinator of the Centre for Environmental Science & Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. Pioneered Ganga Water Pollution Researches in 1972 & findings have been honored by the Parliament of India (Loksabha Q. No. 1464 on 21st July 1980) which played a vital role in the foundation of Ganga Action Plan (GAP). Founder Expert Member of the National Ganga River Basin Authority (NGRBA) , State Ganga River Conservation Authority, Expert Member National Ground Water Advisory Council, Govt. of India. President, Environmental Conservation Association of India (ECA). Developed 8 Pollution Control Technologies, 37 years of teaching experience in BHU. Published over 226 Research Papers/Articles in the reputed National & International Journals and authored 10 books. Produced 32 Ph.Ds. Recipient of a number of National & International Awards. & The autobiography is being published by the National Book Trust, Government of India.
